Save the Flame
Since its completion in 1921, the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City has been honoring the memory of World War I veterans. Recent funding issues have forced the flame sitting atop the 217-foot tower to be extinguished except on special holidays. Pioneer Services, a Kansas City company that provides financial services to members of the Armed Forces and their families, has initiated a "Save The Flame" fundraising campaign and is challenging individuals and other local and national organizations to donate funds to save the flame.
