These boots, used by the U.S. Military
in cold weather operations, are almost
legendary for their ability to keep feet
warm in extreme cold environments.
Outside the military, these boots are
popular with oil field workers,
construction workers and others who work
in cold environments. The boots should
be worn with one pair of
nylon/cotton/wool socks. The boots can
cause trenchfoot and it is recommended
that socks be changed up to three times
a day as the socks will get wet from
perspiration. (Socks can be dried by
placing inside clothing next to the
body.) Also, the inside of the boots
should be wiped dry at least once a day.
