The owner of MNN served four years in the Marine Corps Infantry, and deployed on two Westpacs in a MEUSOC (Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable). Training included Infantry Training School, TOW Gunner's school, Company Radio Operator's Course (CROC), NBC, Demolition, Artillery and Naval Gunfire, Infantry Squad Leader's School, SAAD (Small Arms Air Defense), and more. Ships served on include the USS Tarawa and USS Peleliu. Countries visited include the Philippines, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Thailand. Honors include a Meritorious Mast, Good Conduct Medal, Two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, Meritorious promotion to Corporal and an Honorable Discharge.
