state-of-the-art millimeter-wave system that penetrates
1/64th of an inch into a person's skin and cornea, heating
water molecules in the tissue and generating an
instinctive and irresistible urge to run from the effect.
The truck-mounted system gives warfighters a means to
disperse hostile crowds without causing permanent injury.
The system uses a high-powered vacuum called a gyrotron
that turns electricity into radio frequency waves.
